“We visited places we didn’t even know existed …”
We are all from the Lower Mainland so it was fun to be a tourist in our own city. Our tour guide, Brent & trainee Dan, were friendly, funny & knowledgeable both about the history of Gastown & the eating establishments that we visited. The tour was well organized and well paced. We never felt rushed. We visited places we didn’t even know existed, but will likely return to. We sampled Lobster mac n’ cheese, homemade tortellini, local craft beer, steak & Guinness pie, fish n’ chips and finished off with cheesecake, maple syrup & Rogers Chocolates. It was a tasty & educational tour of Gastown. A great way to spend an afternoon.

“My wife and I had a great afternoon out …””
“My wife and I had a great afternoon out on Commercial Drive. The food (and drinks) were great and at each stop we met with the owners and got a chance to hear about the history of the neighborhood. Our guide Jewel was very friendly and seemed to know everybody personally! Never had to wait for our food and we got the VIP treatment everywhere we went. I would strongly recommend this to visitors and long time residents of Vancouver, I grew up here but now I feel really connected with that area. A memorable trip that my wife and I will never forget!”

“Lower Lonsdale Tour, great to check out!”
I moved to North Vancouver to the Lower Lonsdale area quite recently and had a great time on this tour with my brother for the afternoon. A few stops of note: the Soup Meister, the owner was super cool and friendly and had a real interesting backstory for his business. Really funny guy - said some hilarious jokes :) We also visited El Dorado - run by a real sweet lady who served me my first real Empanada. The stop at the Tap and Barrel at the historic shipyard by the Quay was great too to try out some local beers and learn some of the local history from our tour guide Heather. Heather was nothing short of completely awesome, really funny and entertaining - she was the highlight of the tour for sure. I would highly recommend for anyone new to NorthVan, or visiting, or anyone looking for something interesting to do for a couple hours!
