“We visited places we didn’t even know existed …”

We are all from the Lower Mainland so it was fun to be a tourist in our own city. Our tour guide, Brent & trainee Dan, were friendly, funny & knowledgeable both about the history of Gastown & the eating establishments that we visited. The tour was well organized and well paced. We never felt rushed. We visited places we didn’t even know existed, but will likely return to. We sampled Lobster mac n’ cheese, homemade tortellini, local craft beer, steak & Guinness pie, fish n’ chips and finished off with cheesecake, maple syrup & Rogers Chocolates. “Could not recommend this tour more highly …”

The good lady wife and my self did this tour on 9/3/2014 and we had a very good time Sam our host and tour guide was great telling us about the places we were visiting and the food we were sampling and the history of Gastown.I must say that we loved one place and are planning to do brunch there this Saturday with the discount coupons that Sam provided at the end of the tour this was a great added bonus. “Fun experience …”

Taste Vancouver Food Tours was such a fun experience. My family of three did it with 10 other guests. It was one of the larger groups our tour guide has ever had and she managed it beautifully. We gained some Gastown history and specific history of the buildings and establishments we visited. The restaurant choices were top notch, and the food was delicious. From lobster mac & cheese, to steak pie, to the fish and chips – with beer tastings in between and Roger’s chocolates for dessert, we came away full and satisfied. It was an afternoon well spent.
